IFBB FIGURE PRO

Special Note: Megan earned her IFBB Pro Card by winning her class at the NPC USA Championships on July 29, 2017 after this feature was published. Congrats Megan!
Megan Estes has not been competing very long when it comes to Figure competitions... but in the short time she has, she has made a major impact in the Pacific Northwest and now at the National level!
Megan's very first show was the Oregon State Championships where she placed 2nd. She went into that show basically doing everything on her own... posing, nutrition, training, etc... Well, it didn't take much for her to want more!!!
One year later Megan competed in the first ever NPC Cascadian Classic in Bend and won both her class and the Overall in Figure. She then decided to take the leap and and do the NPC USA Championships. She drove all the way to Las Vegas by herself to compete and looked amazing!
Not being satisfied with her placing, she went back to the gym and made all the adjustments needed with the help of West Coast Strength and Alex Whitaker. Now with improvements being made, she competed at the 2016 Emerald Cup and walked away the winner of her class and also the Overall Figure winner in a VERY tough competition!!!!
Megan is not one to talk very much about herself, she doesn't share alot while she is prepping on social media, and she doesn't get caught up on other competitors... she puts her head phones on and focuses on killing it in the gym all the while balancing a life with her boyfriend and children. Watch out for this competitor... her goal is not just to turn Pro, it's to stand on the Olympia stage!

1. When and why did you decide to start competing?
I started competing when I met a few competitors at Fusion Fitness in Bend Oregon in 2014.

I am a very competitive person when it comes to anything life throws at me, and I don't want just the experience I want it all.
3. What type of training do you implement during contest prep and the in the off-season?
I mostly powerlift in the off season with my boyfriend and keep my routine going, never do much cardio unless I am hiking.
4. What is your favorite type of dieting meals and what is your favorite type of cheat meal?
My favorite meals while dieting is always a protein shake with a fruit. My cheat meals aren't really cheat meals because I stay consistent on my eating. But I do absolutely love sugar candy, candy, candy!!!!
5. Who are some of the people that have helped you along the way to get where you are now in life or in the sport?

6. Who or what inspires you to strive for more in the sport?
Humans with muscles. No particular person in mind, I love the human body and how many shapes and sizes there are.
