Jennifer Ripple

NPC WELLNESS ATHLETE

There hasn't been a single show at the regional level that Jennifer hasn't won or placed high in! Her persistence and training discipline has always shown both onstage and in the gym and she is always looking for ways to advance her training not only for her, but her clients as well. Her real passion is training and she fell in love with it at a young age.

After winning a couple Overalls in multiple shows, we cannot wait to see what she does at the National level... but till then, we can see her using her passion with her clients and getting them to love this lifestyle as much as she does!

1. When and why did you decide to start competing?
I have always loved fitness. I had my 1st gym membership around the age of 12, with my mother. I always looked up to the models inside Fitness magazine's. From then on I always admired the hard work of athletes. I finally decided to conquer my fears and compete in 2016 at the age of 34. So just know it's never too late!!

2. What makes you want to go farther in the sport?
This is a sport and going further is out of Passion. That and accomplishment. Pushing past your limits, growing mentally and physically, and knowing you gave it your all is the biggest accomplishment. Now, I love nothing more then to see my own clients doing the same thing!

3. What type of training do you implement during contest prep and the in the off-season?
While on prep and off season I train hard focusing on heavy compound movements, progressive overload, and mixed with hypertrophy. The key is finding what works for your body and Mastering the movements

4. What is your favorite type of dieting meals and what is your favorite type of cheat meal?
Dieting meal's are pretty basic but I like routine and what works for me. Chicken and rice all day!

Favorite cheat meal would have to be pizza and Safeway cookies! I love my sweets most of all! My advise to anyone competing, DO NOT BINGE EAT AFTER COMPETING!!

5. Who are some of the people that have helped you along the way to get where you are now in life or in the sport?
The one person who made the most difference in my life is my Mom. She guided me into becoming a strong woman. I've had multiple people in my corner who have pushed me along the way. And appreciate them all so much for it.

6. Who or what inspires you to strive for more in the sport?
What inspires me is just becoming the best I can be as a role model, a mother, friend and Coach.

7. What is next for you as a competitor?
I will be competing again at least one more time for a shot at my pro card! My clients come 1st this year so after they shine, I'll shine!

8. What is your favorite memory good or bad while prepping or competing?
Favorite memory would be my 1st time competing in Lincoln City. Stepping out on that stage, hearing my family, my sons screaming for me, and my friends being there... greatest feeling ever. And of course winning the overall 2 shows in a row was such an amazing experience!
